Skye Aero is a project to build 10-foot helium-filled balloons, with small propellers attached to give better control than your average blimp. It’s not a totally new design British band Muse has been using a fleet of similar drones on their most recent tour but Swiss firm Aerotain’s design stands out, due to its soul-sucking practicality. Terrafugia Company Says Flying Hybrid Car Could Be In The Skies

A source at Terrafugia has said it will produce a fully working prototype of the TF-X flying car by 2018, with the hope of putting the vehicles on the market between 2024 and 2028. The company says the car shouldn’t be too much more expensive than a high-end luxury car and will fit in a standard-sized home garage. The TF-X can drive much like a traditional four-seater car, however, it will feature two pop-out propellers from its side that will lift it off the ground.

The SuperDroid HD2 SWAT/EOD Tactical Treaded Robot is an all-terrain remote-controlled robot designed for defense, EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal), law enforcement (tactical, SWAT), security, and surveillance applications. Built like a tank, its sealed (watertight) chassis is made from welded aircraft grade aluminum which is ribbed and gusseted for extra rigidity and strength. The track system is also very robust, using CNC cut rubber treads, composite wheels with 1″ thick timed teeth and Polyurethane idler wheels which provides tolerance to changes in temperature, speed, debris, etc. The SuperDroid HD2 SWAT/EOD Tactical Treaded Robot has the ability to climb stairs and go over most terrain.

New Robot Bee May Soon Be A Spy’s Secret Weapon

People fear robots are becoming too human, but, in reality, robots are becoming a little more bug-like every day. A team of Harvard University researchers proved this axiom when they found the solution to extending tiny robot flight is by mimicking the way small bugs alight on walls and ceilings. The applications for such a robot are wide-ranging, from small spying devices that can conduct surveillance missions while suspended from a ceiling to research drones that can allow scientists to take measurements where no other sensors can physically go.
